The fine print
From a Christianity Today panel of former members. Berg 'saw Kohoutek (the "Christmas comet" of 1973, which was to have been the brightest of the century but fizzled) as a sign of America’s coming destruction on or before January 31, 1974.' The quote is from members' letters to parents and friends in the US. Members also 'paraded up and down the streets of almost every major city in the free world saying, "Yet forty days and Nineveh shall be destroyed."' The same panel says Berg put Christ's return in 1993.
